Albertine Brothers Hermitage
near “Krokwia”.

On September 17, 1977, the wooden structure of the Brother’s Hermitage at Krokwia was consumed by fire.

A foundation stone for the convent was consecrated by Pope John Paul II on August 1, 1980 and the building of the Hermitage with a new Brother Albert’s Chapel was completed in 1984. The brothers also use this hermitage as their novitiate.

“We should live under the eye of the Lord Jesus.
As for a soul one glimpse of Him, one word,
a brief thought – is a prayer.”
-Saint Brother Albert

The Crucified Christ Cross above the altar,
was funded by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski and is modeled on the Cross from the Cistercian Monastery in Krakow.

“Time for prayer should be set, and never skipped nor shortened. It shouldn’t be delayed, even for a minute, unless it is something important that prevents it. In that case, the matter should be offered to Lord Jesus.”
-Saint Brother Albert
